We've had a couple of Fiskars Brush Axes for a while, but have only been using them on light branches and "brush" with great success. This weekend I was out trimming trees including sawing some branches up to 6 inches in diameter. While cutting the smaller branches off those limbs, I had to cut some pieces up to 2-3 inches in diameter, but it would have been a hassle switching to the ax or hawk, so I went to work on them with the Brush Ax! It performed better than I expected and ended up being my main tool the rest of the day! The brush ax was light enough to swing for long periods but heavy enough to take deep bites with each swing. I'll have to try some splitting with it next to see if it can find a home in my BOB!
