The shotgun and barrel/sight combination shoulders perfectly with the sights aligned for me from any start position, so I thought this would help. While shooting clays, it proved to be the case. I managed to only miss one clay during the entire session!! I'm typically not a "shotgunner" but this weapon and I seem to be meant for each other!!
I also tested out some various loads and slugs. Almost everything seemed to be perfect for the intended use. I tried a variety of target loads, small game loads, 00 Buckshot and slugs. The best slugs were a weird brand I happened to pick up because they were "cheap" at the time. K.O. Brenneke's. Federals, which are the best out of my Survivor worked also worked well.
Winchester slugs however, are ABUSIVE to say the least!! I thought they were just nasty out of my Survivor due to a lack of weight and no cushion on the buttpad. This was disproved as I had the shotgun fully loaded, 7 rounds in the magazine and chamber and six more on the side saddle, and it STILL ABUSED me firing those slugs!!! I still have 5 of them left too!!
Overall, this is my "go-to" gun for my defensive needs and probably a good portion of my hunting needs in the near future if forced into a survival situation.
Now I need to get into reloading 12ga!!!
