Tonight before sunset I went for a walk down to Massouri beach and sat on the breakwater which was more of a dead old tamarisk. It had long died, its base, that is. But new sprouts had appeared because i shone my torch on them to illuminate more brightly that lovely new leaf structure that seashore tamarisk is known for.
