I was going through a list of North American animals today and trying to determine if there were ANY that I would NOT shoot with a .22WMR in a survival
situation for food. This means bringing down small game, birds and big game with one round ideally. Even moose and elk would fall if shot in the brain by a
well placed 45/50gr bullet.

So what would I NOT shoot??? The big bears were the only thing that I thought of for sure as a "No Shoot!" I'd rather not risk that...

1) The firearm will be used for survival situations in the wilds. This means after pulling oneself out of an airplane crash in the Canadian bush, or dragging
oneself out of a frosty river after overturning a canoe, or having to walk 50 miles after rolling a 4x4 into a canyon....

respect and fondness for that gauge that I think is well deserved. A 20 is just large enough to shoot with some authority but lightweight enough to carry all
day, especially versus the heavy 12s I have carried now for many years. The 20GA shells are maybe half as heavy or close, as 12s so you can carry twice as many
shells as the 12s. Of...

I think the .45LC/.410 combination is an "abomination!" The chamber is too long to give the .45LC a chance to become accurate and the .410 slugs are
very light and slow when compared to other calibers of similar size. Then the rifling causes problems with shot patterns, while the screw-in choke causes
problems with switching ammo types quickly. It just doesn't seem to do any job 'well.' And as a "combo" weapon, it is inconvenient,
