I don't typically get emotional on here, but I'm MAD!!!

The primary shooter at Fort Hood has been identified. Now it appears he's a psychiatrist and was being redeployed to Iraq or Afghanistan...Dumb!! Now we are back to him being wounded and in custody!!

It makes us remember why we prepare and try to be ready for anything.

Now that I've gotten some of this out, please take the time to remember our troops and everybody affected at Fort Hood and...

When I was twelve I received an H&R 20ga for Christmas. For the remainder of that squirrel season I hunted under the watchful eyes of my Grandfather or Uncle. The next year it was decided I was able to hunt by myself. I camped out the night before the season opened and hunted the next morning. After getting a few bushytails I went back to camp and fried them up and made a gravy. I didn't need to make biscuits the gravy was thick enough to cut and pick up.

Every November 5th we Brits celebrate Bonfire Night. It harks back to when Guy Fawkes and his gang tried to blow up The Houses of Parliament. But they were caught and subsequently executed. Since then, across England bonfire societies appeared, and in each of these clubs there would be food, a couple of splendid recipes found their way into our hungry household.

Only the most delicious, hearty food imaginable is cooked in our house. As these two recipes prove the point.

I got connected with PMan on the old Frugal's site. I was FNG there and he was in need of a takedown bolt for a project rifle. You were still in Texas then I think. Since then I have been Shooter, ShooterToo, HWLHC and now mehender. That last because when I reistered at this sites latest incanation it chopped off the front of my email and used it for a user name. I didn't care enough about it to try getting it changed.

A lot has changed since the late 90's...

Ever sinve Pat wentback to work I have been at a loss to come up with new things to write about. Not work wise, there I am working right along on three seperate projects, but online. I just cannot seem to come up with anything interesting to say. Perhaps it is hunting season, or perhaps I fell out of sync while Pat was off.

Oh well, this too shall pass. Ever get that way?

For some time now I have been having a painful right shoulder which resulted in a fall I had off my quad bike, when I was stupid enough in believing it could fly. Apparently, few users of the MSN Hotmail/Live service know anything about this, so I thought I would share this in case some of you use it, like I do.

We went out of town for a long weekend with my parents, and while we were gone we stopped at a new casino in the UP because my parents had coupons there for free dinners. While there I put $5 in a slot machine and won $500. Very kewl eh? Well today when I was mowing my weed wacker died, so I had ot use some of the money for the weed wacker. Can I post here? I just rebooted and I seem to be banned at the Campfire and this is the only other place I spend time so I am trying to see if this works...........sorry for wasting time and storage but I seem to have a problem or a very loose mouth, (which I don't remember) so I am presuming it's a computer problem not a #*+!#%$& problem.
