The primary shooter at Fort Hood has been identified.  Now it appears he&#39;s a psychiatrist and was being redeployed to Iraq or Afghanistan...Dumb!!  Now we
are back to him being wounded and in custody!!

			<description><![CDATA[ When I was twelve I received an H&amp;R 20ga for Christmas.  For the remainder of that squirrel season I hunted under the watchful eyes of my Grandfather or
Uncle.  The next year it was decided I was able to hunt by myself.  I camped out the night before the season opened and hunted the next morning.  After getting
a few bushytails I went back to camp and fried them up and made a gravy.  I didn&#39;t need to make biscuits the gravy was thick enough to cut and pick up.

I like the idea of an external frame that can also be used by itself, like a Medium ALICE pack, but I didn&#39;t like the weight and bulk of the ALICE pack
when I had one.

are a great rifle. I have looked into a number of options in many different styles, and the M1 just has so much going for it. Great cartridge, ultra reliable,
enough weight to make shooting the 06 a pleasure. Ultra accurate, and is able to be used hunting in Michigan. What do you all think of the Garand and its

			<description><![CDATA[ I got connected with PMan on the old Frugal&#39;s site.  I was FNG there and he was in need of a takedown bolt for a project rifle.  You were still in Texas
then I think.  Since then I have been Shooter, ShooterToo, HWLHC and now mehender.  That last because when I reistered at this sites latest incanation it
chopped off the front of my email and used it for a user name.  I didn&#39;t care enough about it to try getting it changed.

			<title><![CDATA[ SAK hook? ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ What uses can those SAK hook blades serve.  The one with about 1 1/2&quot; length, then a circular hook that grabs is what I am speaking of.  For now, I can
think of using to carry netting package with several layers inserted in hook and pulling cordage thru material slits.  But thats about it.  I guess I&#39;m not
very imaginative.

			<description><![CDATA[ I was going through a list of North American animals today and trying to determine if there were ANY that I would NOT shoot with a .22WMR in a survival
situation for food.  This means bringing down small game, birds and big game with one round ideally.  Even moose and elk would fall if shot in the brain by a
well placed 45/50gr bullet.

			<description><![CDATA[ Ammunition is as expensive as all get out, and finding a centerfire that eats cheap ammunition sure is a handy feature.  One of my friends came by yesterday to
talk guns, and showed me a recent &#39;I forgot I had that&#39; in the back of his safe.  A TU-90 Takarov 7.62x25 that has a spare 9mm Para. barrel to boot. 
Said that Tok ammo is very inexpensive if you don&#39;t mind cleaning after effects of corrosive ammo.  A surplus German Flecktar synthetic holster fits it to
